Stay prepared for the winter holidays: free COVID-19 tests are back

Just in time for the cold weather and the holidays, the U.S. government is offering to send another round of four free COVID-19 tests to Americans’ homes.

If you missed out on ordering tests in September, you are able to place two orders for a total of eight tests for free through COVIDtests.gov. The tests will be delivered by the U.S. Postal Service, so you don’t have to worry about going out to get them.

It’s important to note that this distribution of tests is happening as flu season begins and as some areas in the country report an increase in RSV cases. With hospitalizations for COVID-19 on the rise, it’s crucial to take precautions and get tested if you have any symptoms.
