[column md=”6″]When it comes to health care, Oregonians have a lot in common. The majority of us are concerned about high costs.

There’s power in numbers, however. Voices for Affordable Health is bringing together consumers, employers and health advocates to stand together for high-quality affordable care. Here are just a few ideas people have shared about how to cut costs without sacrificing quality:

  • “Do a lot of research,” says Corey Boehler. “Find an advocate who can help you navigate that sea of paperwork and bureaucracy.”
  • “Give incentives for people who do their annual checkups,” recommends Kathy Laskowski.
  • “Your best defense as a consumer is to educate yourself,” says Tim White.

Watch this video for these and other tips. You’ll find more to come on the Voices for Affordable Health Care website and Facebook page.
